ABOUT Orchestra Overview The Violin Temple · National Treasure String Orchestra is a professional string ensemble composed of senior musicians from national-level troupes, resident at the Violin Temple · Treasure Hall within the Beijing Music Industrial Park. All members come from China’s top symphony orchestras—the China National Symphony Orchestra, the China Central Opera House, the China Opera and Dance Drama Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra… These names represent the highest level of China’s symphonic art. They dedicated their prime years to national troupes, leaving their music in the Great Hall of the People, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and concert halls worldwide. The most moving details of string music—the friction of bow hair against strings, the layers of overtones, the interplay of sections—on a HiFi system, you can hear what is inaudible in ordinary concert halls. 4 From Performance to Heritage Orchestra members are both performers and educators, with an average teaching experience of over 30 years. Every Thursday from 10:30 to 14:00, a string salon is held at the Violin Temple for internal training and external exchange, ensuring professional experience extends beyond the stage.
